WTF?! My tv is brand new. I spent hours unplugging and restarting the crap. Then sat on the phone with their “customer service” which is obviously some idiot in a foreign country who was raised by a mountain goat.
I got so frustrated I returned it and bought the downgraded version assuming the issue might be my tv. I downgraded to the regular hd Roku Streaming Stick... SAME PROBLEM!!! Actually worse because install took forever, had to reset the device multiple times...
STILL DOESN’T WORK. I have a masters degree in computer sciences... IF I CAN’T GET THIS TO WORK THERE IS A PROBLEM. DO NOT BUY ROKU!!!!

I can't find my 32-inch Phillips Roku TV in a list of devices to connect and use the remote on my iPhone. It just won't come up.
I get two other TVs that come up that don't belong to me.
The TV and the iPhone are both on the same Wi-Fi. For some reason, it can't find my TV when I go to set up the remote control on my iPhone.

My Apple Pay reported multiple transactions from Roku. Some were denied, so I changed my card number and security code.
The next day, I was still charged for services that I did not authorize. It went on for days. I called Apple and was able to resolve it, but Roku still has a hold. Apple requires you to reach out to the merchant, so I did but received no answer.
I want my money as soon as possible. This company will fold.

Apple has been notified and they asked for me to reach out to the merchant. So, I'm reaching out to the merchant and there is no response.
Also, Philo has responded and is refunding me, but Roku has a hold. Give me back my money.

I've had the same problem as pissed consumer. Roku is a short lived company with the customer support they supply.
Their streaming stick is OK but the StreamingBar (sound bar) is just plain garbage. It is so bad Roku doesn't even want it back.

Can't find anybody to help with channel streaming problems on the ROKU channel. Other channels work fine on this damn site.
Not even a *** chat bot. But they will find someone with a predefined list of text for getting their money out of you.

I object to the language and disrespect shown by the reviewer.
Taking issue with a company is no reason to disrespect a working person and their perceived culture. Additionally, the reviews content, grammar and sentence structure speaks adversely to their claim of possessing a Masters Degree.
oh roku most definitely does suck and it is quite possible that their customer service reps overseas may very well have been raised by mountain goats. the state-side corporate customer service is not any better and is quite possible that breed of corporate *** may have been raised by vampires.
