This company is a money pit. Can't understand the tech's that are trying to help you. They need to find another way to connect the ruko. I will never recommend this product to anyone.

Roku Review

After i used Roku for about 2 months the device wont even stream the channels. It was slow to stream programs and most channels and programs channels will not load. This piece of cramp is a waste of consumers money and government should oversee about the fraudulent of products being produced in the USA as fraud. But government dont care because they part of the problem.

Poor Quality and Service

Be aware of Roku's scamming or should I say cramming for Fee subscriptions, in this case with Showtime. Will bill you after free trial, well it's not "after" free trial. They bill you on the last day of it instead of waiting until the proper day as described in their subscription management. When you call customer service, like everyone else states, they keep repeating the same lingo over and over. Per their website "subscription management", I was to cancel ON or BEFORE the end date of 2/17 to avoid any fees. But, of course, I was billed early morning of the 17th not allowing for the "ON" the 17th cancelation constituting fraud. Always use a CREDIT card not DEBIT for the billing of anything such as this to preserve your rights. Also, I have 4 Rokus and they are starting to lock up at the beginning of use or at times during use. They have to be unplugged and rebooted each time. What a pain.

Roku Review

Roku absolutely sucks! It freezes constantly and you have to reset it--using bizarre steps learned on Internet. For 25 minutes of viewing be prepared to spend 30 minutes experiencing extreme frustration. Buy something else--or just use your computer.

Roku doesn't work

* We bought a Roku "stick"for streaming TV and it doesn't work. We followed the setup instructions very carefully and keep getting a message on the TV screen that the Roku couldn't connect to the internet. Our internet connection works perfectly for every other purpose. It took several tries to get through to Roku's so-called customer service and when we finally got a rep he was in India and had a terrible command of English. Both he and his supervisor could not understand anything we said and kept repeating simple and ineffective advice over and over. When we'd respond that we'd just done what they said the Indians would repeat the same advice over and over. My wife spent an hour and a half on the phone with the Indians and got nowhere. She was in tears. Plus, the Indians would not authorize return and credit for the malfunctioning device. Online consumer complaint forums indicate many other consumers have this same problem with Roku. Roku is a bad company with the worst customer service we've ever experienced.

Roku locked my account until I provided CC info

I had an old, legacy roku account, that required no credit card info. I bought a new roku4 and was going to create a new account for it but noticed I could not continue without a cc. I instead decided to add it to my old account, which I did. I went to change my insecure password and roku disabled my account. Contacted customer service over 3 days and not getting anywhere. They have my address, email, serial numbers and refuse to do anything. dont need an account anyway

I have three Roku boxes and all run fine but I have heard their customer service is really bad. I know a couple of people who have the Amazon system and they like it. Perhaps if you tried Amazon?

Roku Player Review

If you people think showing the same 30 sec ad prior to 2 minute clips on FOX over and over is smart you are nuts. Watching this makes me crazy and I would go out of my way to avoid buying the product because of it. In fact often I quit viewing FOX News clips because of it.

Piece of Garbage, Just buy an Apple TV

I thought I was being cost conscience by buying a Roku instead of an Apple TV. BIG MISTAKE. For the love of god people just buy an Apple TV. I bought a Roku and it worked fine for about 3 months. Then it refused to connect to ANY Wifi. I restarted it 18 times.... restarted my internet a billion times. Reconnected.. Disconnected.... blah blah blah. These things are poorly made. These things are garbage. Save yourself the money in the long run and just buy an Apple TV. The product and customer service are about 10 Billion times better. DO NOT BUY A ROKU.

My Roku just stopped working

I only had my Roku for a year and a half and it just stopped working. I called customer service which is a joke and got shuffled around from person to person and they tried to get me to do all sorts of things to get the thing to work. I had already tried them though and they came to the conclusion I had a defective device and I would have to purchase a new one. If I have a defective device they should have offered to send me a new one but they said the warranty had expired and they could not do it. They are a big rip off if the Roku stops working just after the warranty expires. I couldn't understand these people from customer support because of their broken English and they were rude and they don't care if you're stuck with a piece of junk. They do not stand behind their product which is very very bad.

Worst customer service ever experienced

Roku asked me to send back my entire Roku 3 unit (£100 item) over a faulty remote and have not provided a replacement for over 3 weeks! I have contacted them on 5 occasions and nobody can tell me where my original or replacement Roku is. My shipment was recieved by their distribution centre but is now 'lost'. Good gadget but by no doubt the most shocking and worst customer service i have ever experienced, nobody is willing to help or keeps their word when they say they will call back.

Ordered 2 SE players over Thanksgiving. My card was charged on 27thbut never received any email confirmation. Called 12/11 for status and they didnt have my info at all. Still waiting for call back to refund my card. Glad i didnt delete my call records. Not a festive feeling at xmas.

Can't return product customer service ignoring my request

Bought 2 Roku SE thanksgiving would Like to return and get 2 Roku 3. Tried online got no where website not working ...spent almost 4 hours total talking and calling back number out times someone from India...then finally said they would email me me a RA number and never did. I have had Used Various Roku for about 6 years. Now I have two new ones that need to be returned never used and wanted to buy other ones. This is a nightmare worse experience with a company maybe it is time to switch to another brand of streaming device.
